The exhibition of photography is part of the ongoing Collaborative Exchange
Project between the University of Minnesota Department of Art and the
Beijing Film Academy. Curated by Jennifer Phelps, Chambers Art Director and
Cheryl Wilgren Clyne

Juried by Jennifer Phelps selected 28 images from 400 submitted by students
and faculty of both institutions.

The Katherine E. Nash Gallery is proud to present "seaworthy" an exhibition of six Master of Fine Arts graduate students in a show that will run May 2 through May 22, 2008.  A public reception is scheduled for Friday, May 2 from 6 – 8:30 pm.  

Featured artists are: Caroline Houdek, Josie Lewis, Jon Mahnke, Araan Schmidt, Andrew Schroeder, and Cheryl Wilgren Clyne,

The Master of Fine Arts degree is the highest degree awarded within the fine arts.  The exhibitions represent the culmination of work during the three-year-program in the Department of Art at the University of Minnesota


All events at the Nash are free and open to the public.The Nash Gallery is located in the Regis Center for Art at 405 21st Avenue South on the west bank campus of the University of Minnesota.  Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11am – 7pm.  Parking is available in the 21st Avenue Ramp.

spill the wine

Spill The Wine, located one block from the gallery, is exhibiting Rosalux artists. They feature two separate spaces, one as the dining room with an open kitchen to entertain their guests with their culinary expertise and a wine tasting bar. The other side features a lounge with televisions, oak handcrafted bar top and a wall displayed with regional wine. The menu highlights American Cuisine with continental influences. Spill the Wine is open for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch.
