Family Visit
New Work by Avigail Manneberg
My work processes personal and political events, as well as the destruction of home, of households, and homelands. The past few years have deeply affected me, my family, and my community. These paintings reflect our shifting states of being—floating between fear and hope, between joy and the threat of loss. Like drifting at sea, moments of freedom and lightness carry the possibility of sinking beneath the surface.

Avigail Manneberg is a Minneapolis-based artist. Avigail received her MFA from the University of Minnesota. She is an Associate Professor at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
