Cameron Jarvis is a visual artist and multi-instrumental musician. He was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to parents who immigrated from Antigua in the Caribbean. Growing up in Cottage Grove, a suburb of The Twin Cities instilled a fascination with transportation, land use, and how culture influences space. Cameron collects, archives, and recontextualizes images, objects and materials to describe the world around him. By living in and visiting places like Philadelphia, Antigua, Minnesota, and London Cameron has developed a unique language to talk about and understand places.

In 2019 Cameron received his MFA in Painting from Tyler School of Art and Architecture (Philadelphia, PA). He earned his BA in Studio Art and Vocal Performance in 2015 from Gustavus Adolphus College (Saint Peter, MN). He studying painting at Slade School of Fine Art (London, UK) in 2014. 

Cameron is a singer, guitarist, clarinetist and recording engineer. He has toured regionally with the Gustavus Jazz Band, and internationally with the Gustavus Choir and the Gustavus Symphony Orchestra. Notable venues include Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris and Saint Paul’s Cathedral in London.

Recent projects include Free Parking, an exhibit with Priscilla Briggs at Rosalux Gallery, (Minneapolis, MN); One, Two, Or One Half a solo album available via streaming and on Bandcamp via Cold Rhymes Records (Philadelphia, PA); God Could My Dad Drive A Car… Whoo!, a print edition and exhibition in collaboration with Pressure Club (Philadelphia PA). 

Cameron currently lives, works, and rests in Minneapolis, MN.
