Minnesota’s longest running art collective is pleased to announce Open Door 15. Open Door is Rosalux Gallery’s annual open call exhibition which is on display for the month of December.
This year’s exhibition features work from artists Jonathan Aller, Emma Beatrez, Kim Benson, Justine Di Fiore, Nathanael Flink, Hilary Greenstein, Nicole Hoekstra, Syed Hosain, Morteza Khakshoor, Rob Kolomyski, Kelly Kozma, Steph Kunze, Rachel Merrill, Lee Noble, Tina Rice, Caitlin Rose, Sarah Sampedro, Chad Schneider, Cassie Shao, Felice Sicad, and Elissa Wenthe.
This year’s juror, Todd Bockley, is the director and founder of the Bockley Gallery, which has been one of the most influential and sought after galleries in Minneapolis since it opened in 1984.
Todd said of jurying the show:
“As a professional that has been in the field for 35 years, the overriding principle that guides my curatorial decisions has been looking for an expression that feels both urgent and honest. It was a privilege to survey the 163 artists’ work representing a world-wide variety of concerns, and narrowing down the field to the 21 selected was an extremely difficult task given the earnestness and sincerity of the work submitted. Thank you to Rosalux Gallery and to all of the artists that submitted work for this opportunity.”
